Olga Grun FINE ART

​After living decades in Minnesota, Olga moved to California where she continued to explore her passion, art. Growing up in Czech Republic, Prague, triggered her loved for old European masters and oil paintings. She reinforced her interest by attending variety of classes and workshops.

Her profession as a psychologist in Prague and later on as a clinical psychologist in MN, has not stopped her from creating art, attending workshops and participate in exhibitions.

 

In her style is noticeable influence by impressionists. Her paintings are reflecting beauty of nature and vibrant colors of landscapes. She is using colors and texture to exaggerate or restrain emotions that may be considered as expressionistic influence.
She is capturing light and shade in the moment using her sketchbook and photos she had taken on locations. Predominantly she is using oils as medium on canvas or board. Occasionally she uses acrylic or chalk, depending on how and what she intends her painting to communicate to her audience.

Olga has been living and visiting many places in United States as well as in Europe that has become also inspirations for her paintings. 

Although she is a clinical psychologist by trade, her skills as a psychologist has influenced the atmosphere of her paintings and enhanced the atmosphere in her paintings.

She participated in Juried Art Exhibitions and won a few times 1st place, second place and honorable mentioning in SCAA 2018, 2019. She was juried into Newport Beach Art festival 2019, was juried into gallery in Carlsbad 2019, and was juried into Los Laguna Gallery Laguna Beach 2018.
